A third generation captain and mate now following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps, Walter has spent the past 12 years aboard several well-known vessels along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. He’s fished the waters between Ocean City, New Jersey to Port Aransas, Texas as well as various islands of the Bahamas. He’s experienced in the field of general maintenance of all critical systems onboard a vessel, coordinating tournament schedules and provisioning, as well as sharing in the responsibility to transport and navigate vessels from port to port. Walter spent four seasons as a mate aboard a busy full-time charter operation based out of Oregon Inlet, North Carolina. Several winter seasons in Florida including stops at Palm Beach and The Florida Keys provided valuable experience where he learned the different fishing philosophies and techniques of those two popular ports. Walter’s strong communications skills set the tone for success though he continuously seeks input from others to improve his skills. He has made numerous transport deliveries of privately held sportfishing vessels, primarily from New Jersey to locations throughout Florida, and has spent time tournament fishing on numerous vessels in the 40- to 60-foot range.
